Head Coach Graeme Laing
Matamata Swim Club is very fortunate to be one of the few regional clubs that provides a professional coach for our swimmers.
Graeme Laing is a former National Age Group Champion Freestyle & Fly and won the NZ Nationals in Freestyle. Graeme as previous also been part of the NZ H20 Team, NZ Surf Lifesaving Representative (1980-1982) and NZ Water Polo Representative (1982). He coached and taught in Dunedin for 20 Years with Duncan Laing Swim School. In 2003 he moved to Tauranga and worked for H20 Harliques Swim Squad.
Graeme also runs the Laing Swim School which offers swimming lessons for babies and children many of our Club Members progressing from Laing Swim School to Squad Training and Competitive Swimming.
